Day 242 | Spending Time in a Company of Favourite Story Teller

I took break from shopping and my feet took me to town library... didn't realise how last one hour went by! R.K.Narayan continues to my most favourite author... reading the vendor of sweets for 9th or 10th time :)

Day 241 | Early Morning Baking

... and the delicate task of counting and distributing 7 choco chips equally ;) Baking teaches mathematics, science and the most important lesson of patience! And also to resist the temptation of not to pop half the choco chips in mouth which unfortunately not something we are good at ;)

Day 239 | Deep Fried Twins

Nippattu and Kodubale are the classic deep fried indulging snacks from Karnataka. Festivals are the best and most perfect reasons to indulge in what otherwise are deep fried sins! This year I am making an extra effort to cook all these special festival recipes for Lil Dumpling to keep him connected to his Indian roots! So far it's DH who is benefiting the most while his wife is sweats in the kitchen;)

Day 238 | Snacking On!

Roasted corn on cob, fultu Desi style! On other note, you must possess one quality if you want to become a food blogger and it is patience! There are times when you just find it utterly difficult to not to sample the food while photographing for the blog! In my case it was today when I completed the photo shoot under 5 mins as I just couldn't wait to bite into this spicy delight!

Day 233 | Sunrise

After a very long time I woke up to this spectacular scenery! I am little sad that the summer is almost over and the days are getting shorter. But I shouldn't really be complaining as there will be more beautiful sunrises to see!

Day 231 | World Photography Day

“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”

Day 228 | Home Alone

...with Miss Marple for a company. The blue geranium it is... only way to keep my mind off from thinking about Lil Dumpling at nursery! Not that it works! Just one day break from constant chatter and I still find it difficult to get used to the silence!! ~sigh~ Do we ever grow out of it?! And most importantly do we ever grow up? I mean mothers

Day 225 | Pickling

Because it's that time of the year! Back at home in India pickling is not just about food, but a lot more. It's about families coming together, sharing family recipes, and creating memories. You are not just preserving the fruits and vegetables for year but preserving family traditions for generations!

Day 224 | Treasures

That Lil Dumpling picked from yesterday's nature walk. Wood bark, wild flowers and fern make a beautiful display! :)

Day 220 | Childhood Favourite

Made steaming bowl of Maggi after a very long time. We like it with truck load of vegetables.

Day 218 | Behind the scenes of food blogging

My first ever batch of backgrounds are painted and ready for food photography I can't wait to see how they will look!

Day 216 | Book Love
